PRINCIPAL, CCO, & COO

Paul oversees compliance, human resources, operations, and technology at Birch Hill. Before joining Birch Hill in 2019, Paul was Senior Vice President at Boston Private Bank. Altogether, Paul has over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, including positions at Woodstock Corporation and Mellon Trust/The Boston Company.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics & Finance from Bentley College and an MBA from Suffolk University. In addition, Paul has an Associate of Science degree in Accounting from Bentley College and an Associate of Science degree in Aviation Technology from Northeastern University. Paul is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner.

Q: What do you think Birch Hill’s best qualities are?
A: The company’s commitment to a great experience for not only clients but employees.

Q: What about what you do brings you the most personal satisfaction?
A: I get satisfaction knowing that I have contributed towards a better experience for everyone by streamlining workflow, improving software utilization, and enhancing working relationships of all team members. In addition, I love learning new things, it energizes me.

Q: When you’re not working, how do you spend your time?
A: I spend as much time as possible at my home in Provincetown, MA with my husband. Provincetown brings together beauty, art, culture, activities, relaxation, and diversity. I truly feel Provincetown is my home.

Q: If you weren’t at Birch Hill, what do you think you’d be doing?
A: Enjoying Cape Cod…..reading, hiking, walking, and beach.
