Adam J. Desjardins, CFA

VICE PRESIDENT

Adam joined Birch Hill in 2007 and has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. His experience includes security analysis, trading, performance measurement, and portfolio accounting. Prior to Birch Hill, he was a performance measurement associate at State Street Bank.

Adam received a BA in Economics from California State University San Marcos and an MBA from Boston College. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Society Boston, and the CFA Institute. He is a volunteer at Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Q: What are your role and responsibilities at Birch Hill?
A: I’m a research analyst. I primarily analyze publicly traded companies to potentially identify equity investments for our client’s portfolios.

Q: What do you think Birch Hill’s best qualities are?
A: Our people and the effort we all make to put the client’s best interests first.

Q: What about what you do brings you the most personal satisfaction?
A: Identifying companies that our clients can own for the long run to grow their wealth.

Q: When you’re not working, how do you spend your time?
A: I enjoy golfing, skiing and boating with family and friends.

Q: If you weren’t at Birch Hill, what do you think you’d be doing?
A: I used to ski a lot, and I’d enjoy living in a western ski town. I also think being a high school teacher would be a rewarding job.
