Christopher P. Mikus


Chris joined Birch Hill in 2012. Previously, he was a Senior Associate at State Street Wealth Management Services. Altogether, he has more than a decade of experience in the financial services industry.

A graduate of Kenyon College, where he majored in History, Chris has an MBA from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University. He is an active member of the Advent Users Group (AUG) and the Kenyon College Alumni Association.

Q: What do you think Birch Hill’s best qualities are?
A: Birch Hill combines a thoughtful approach to fundamental analysis with a high level of portfolio customization for each of our clients. Additionally, the culture at Birch Hill challenges and rewards self-motivated employees, creating a robust environment that underlies our commitment to our clients.

Q: What about what you do brings you the most personal satisfaction?
A: I love that every day is different, and I have the freedom and encouragement to experiment and develop my own solutions.

Q: When you’re not working, how do you spend your time?
A: On weekends my wife and I try to travel as much as possible. If we’re not on the road we’re usually attempting home improvement projects.

Q: When someone asks you what you do for a living, what do you tell them?
A: I tell them I work at a fast-growing boutique investment firm.
