Q: What are your role and responsibilities at Birch Hill?
A:
I conduct investment research, invest client portfolios, manage client relationships, and provide overall firm management.

Q: What do you think Birch Hill’s best qualities are?
A: A sincere dedication to our clients and a continuing effort to provide sound and successful investment results.

Q: What about what you do brings you the most personal satisfaction?
A: I enjoy completing puzzles. At Birch Hill this comes in the form of analyzing and anticipating the future direction of businesses we invest in and structuring the right investment portfolios to meet our clients’ needs. It’s very satisfying to see successful results for clients over many years. The very best moment is when a client calls to offer a simple but sincere “thank you” for our efforts.

Q: When you’re not working, how do you spend your time?
A: Attending musical and theatrical events with my wife as we try to keep track of our two adult children. I also dedicate a portion of my time to work as a committee member for a not-for-profit organization which benefits highly at risk children in Boston.

Q: When someone asks you what you do for a living, what do you tell them?
A: I manage investments and act as a financial quarterback for individuals and families. It’s exactly what I have always wanted to do. I’m living my dream.

Q: If you weren’t at Birch Hill, what do you think you’d be doing?
A: If I didn’t work as an investment advisor or financial planner, I would probably work as a financial officer in a small not-for-profit organization or as a financial advocate for the needy.

Q: What words do you live by?
A: “Never, never, never give up.” I wish Winston Churchill had actually said it, but it is still one of my favorite “quotes.”
