Susan Vallerand joined Birch Hill in September 2021. Previously, she was a client service associate at Argent Wealth Management. Susan has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, including positions with Seaward Management, State Street Corporation, Investors Bank & Trust and BankBoston.
Susan has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Regis College. Susan and her husband live in Waltham.
Q: What do you think Birch Hill’s best qualities are?
A: The integrity, intellect, professionalism, and genuine decency of its people.
Q: What about what you do brings you the most personal satisfaction?
A: I have always derived a lot of satisfaction from working in a support position. Being an assistant is what I do best and Birch Hill values everyone’s unique contribution to the firm. It is ultimately how the team interacts which determines success.
Q: When you’re not working, how do you spend your time?
A: Off the clock, I enjoy visiting family in Maine, catching up with dear friends, reading, and exploring dusty antique shops.
Q: If you weren’t at Birch Hill, what do you think you’d be doing?
A: I would either be working in a vintage boutique or in a bakery. I have a serious weakness for sweets.
